Our Cactus Leather

Our cactus leather labels are abrasion-resistant and machine washable up to 40° C. This innovative plant-based material is made from the leaves of cacti grown in arid regions, requiring no additional irrigation. The mature prickly pear leaves are cut, cleaned, and sun-dried before processing. A single cactus plant can be used for up to eight years, with regenerating leaves harvested repeatedly, while other parts of the plant serve as a food source. Cacti naturally absorb carbon dioxide and contribute to soil health in their native habitats.

The back of your cactus leather hangtags is a soft cream color, and the material has a thickness of approximately 1.1 mm.

Our cactus leather meets OEKO-TEX^® standard 100 and DIN EN 71-3 certifications, tested by the Bremen Environmental Institute. It complies with Product Class I standards, making it safe for baby products and suitable for children’s toys. More details about our certificates available here.
